Supervisors of the Checklist Notice

The Alstead Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session Wednesday, April 8th from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the Alstead Town Offices, 15 Mechanic Street. The Supervisors will be appointing a new Supervisor of the Checklist to replace a Supervisor retiring from the position. Per RSA 669:64
New Hampshire law requires that the Supervisors of the Checklist verify the checklist every year. Any person on the checklist who has not voted in the past five years must re-register to remain on the checklist, unless the voter registered after the last state general election (Nov 5, 2024). The Alstead Select Board needs to appoint a new Emergency Management Director, and find a new Health Officer, which the State will appoint. Click on the Employment button to the left (or below, under "Local and State Resources" if you are on your phone) for more information.
Genysys, which is a Town-wide safety alert system, and replaces the now inactive "Code Red" system, will be available to all town residents on the following dates: 4/22 at the Transfer Station from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm - 4/24 at the Town Hall from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm - 4/25 at the Town Hall from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. This service is free to all Alstead residents that have a phone, but you can only sign up at one of these meetings.
The Alstead Highway Department has posted all town roads with reduced weight limits due to the onset of Mud Season!
Building permits, Intent to Cuts, Exemptions, Current Use, Abatement info, Subdivision Plans, Updates to Tax Cards & Deeds, and Lot Line Adjustments are now being handled by the Land Clerk, Sharon Iozzo.
