The Alstead Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session Tuesday June 2nd, 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Alstead Town Offices, 15 Mechanic Street. We will be accepting new registrations, party changes and making corrections to the Checklist. This is the LAST DAY to change party affiliations before the State Primary Election in September.

The Alstead Fire Department's "Truck Committee" will be meeting Wednesday, June 3rd at 6:30 pm at the East Alstead Fire Station, 36 North Road. This meeting is open to the Public.
The Alstead Cemetery Commission will be meeting Tuesday, June 9th, at 5:00 pm, at the Town Offices, 15 Mechanic Street. A meeting of the Alstead Trustees of the Trust Funds will immediately follow the Cemetery Commission meeting.
Due to the decision by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation to completely close NH Route 123a / Acworth Road for construction this summer, the Vilas Pool Park will be closed to the public for the 2026 season.
Burn Permits are required for open fires on your property. Burn permit information is on the Fire Department web page. Click "Fire" on the DEPARTMENTS drop-down menu.
The Alstead Select Board needs to appoint a new Emergency Management Director, find a new Health Officer, which the State will appoint, along with a Municipal Cleaner. Click on the Employment button to the left (or below, under "Local and State Resources" if you are on your phone) for more information.
Genasys, which is a Town-wide safety alert system, and replaces the now inactive "Code Red" system, will be available to all town residents in the near future. This service is free to all Alstead residents, but you can only sign up at one of the meetings, which will begin sometime in June.
Building permits, Intent to Cuts, Exemptions, Current Use, Abatement info, Subdivision Plans, Updates to Tax Cards & Deeds, and Lot Line Adjustments are now being handled by the Land Clerk, Sharon Iozzo.
